Presentation Guidelines

For oral presenters

- Adherence to the schedule is greatly appreciated.

- Be seated in the next presenter seat to the left of the screen (when facing the screen) no later than 15 minutes prior to your presentation time.

- If using Mac or video files, bring your own computer (including AC adapter and external output adapters).

Bringing your own media (Windows only)

- Preparation

(1) Media: USB flash memory or CD-R only
(2) Application: Windows 8, PowerPoint 2007 or later
(3) Font: Standard Windows fonts only
(4) Video files: Playable using Windows Media Player and copied to a single folder
(5) Once your data is ready, do a virus check and check that it displays correctly on a different computer.


- Presentation process

(1) Complete registration at the PC preview center no later than 30 minutes prior to your presentation time.
(2) You will use the mouse and keyboard provided while checking your presentation on the monitor on the podium during your presentation.
(3) The resolution of the projector is XGA (1024 x 768).
(4) The Secretariat will ensure that the data is disposed after your presentation.
(5) Use the style below to label your file with presentation number and your name.
Eg. If your registration number is 00000 and your name is Tom Smith, the file name should be "00000_SmithTom.pptx".

Using your own computer (windows, Mac)

- Preparation

(1) Carefully check the output connector for an external display and if needed, bring your own connection adapter.

(2) The resolution of the projector is XGA (1024 x 768).
(3) Bring your own AC adapter.
(4) In case of connection problems, bring a backup copy of your presentation on USB flash memory or CD-R.


- Presentation process

(1) After testing your presentation at the PC preview center at least 30 minutes prior to your presentation time, bring your computer to the computer operator desk in the venue you are assigned no later than 20 minutes prior to your presentation time.
(2) Turn off all screen savers and energy saving modes to ensure your computer does not turn off during your presentation.
(3) The technician at the computer operator desk will connect your computer to the projector.
(4) You will use the mouse and keyboard provided while checking your presentation on the monitor on the podium during your presentation.
(5) The resolution of the projector is XGA (1024 x 768).
(6) Pick up your computer from the computer operator desk after your presentation.

For poster presenters
poster size

- Posters will be displayed. There will be no oral presentation.


Create your poster according to the following.

(1) The panel size is 90cm wide and 190cm high.
(2) The presentation number will be attached to the panel in the top left when facing the panel.
(3) Create your own sign including; title, affiliation and presenter name. (Size: 70cm wide, 20cm high)
(4) Posters should be in English.
There will be no oral presentation with posters.
(5) Posting, viewing and removal will be as follows.

Awards

Presentation Award
One presentation will be selected for a Best Presentation Award for each session, on February 19 (Fri) and February 20 (Sat). The selected 10 presenters will be announced and the most significant presentation will be awarded on the second day, February 20 (Sat).
